“Maggee,” a 3-year-old, female, brindle shepherd mix, is “very friendly and playful,” and would do best with experienced pet owners, according to officials at the Allegany County Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 716 Furnace St., Cumberland. Adoption hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter’s Web site is www.petfinder.org/shelters/MD203. The first 16 adoptions in during June will receive a $100 certificate good at any Allegany County veterinarian’s office.
