Adopt-A-Pet: 'Boogy'

Boogy, a 1-year-old brown and white male bluetick coonhound/basset hound mix is “very active and loves to be the center of attention,” according to officials at the Allegany County Animal Shelter. The shelter is located at 716 Furnace St., Cumberland. Adoption hours are weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter’s Web site is www.petfinder.org/shelters/MD203.html. The first 16 adoptions in June will receive a $100 certificate for use at any Allegany County veterinarian’s office.
