CUMBERLAND — Leroy and Leslie Cross recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. The Crosses were married June 30, 1962, at Holy Ghost Church in Whitman, Mass.

A dinner party to celebrate their 50th anniversary was hosted by their children; Kim Miller and husband, Jeff; Chip Cross and wife, Trina; Keri DiNicola and husband, Joe; and Rob Cross and Rachael Warnick; along with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The event took place July 7,  at the Assembly of God Church, Bedford Road.

The tables were decorated in black and gold, with candles and flowers as centerpieces. A special table featured photos of the couple and their family.

A lifetime scrapbook was made by Keri DiNicola and a handmade wall hanging quilt with the couple’s photos and family pictures was presented to the couple by Leslie’s sister,  Judy Milian.

The program was directed by Jeff Miller, son-in-law of Leroy and Leslie. A video, made by the couple’s grandson, Tyler Kesecker,  was shown to the guests.  It included each child and grandchild and special relatives expressing memories and testimonies of their love for the couple.  The video was concluded with the couple’s two-year-old great-granddaughter, Kinzie Hodel, wishing them a “Happy Anniversary.”

The food was prepared by Castiglia Italian Eatery, Keyser, W.Va., and was served by Leslie and Leroy’s sons, sons–in-law and grandson.  The four-tier cake was decorated in gold and was made by Tracy DiNicola.

The party concluded with the couple’s wedding song, “All the Way” by Frank Sinatra. Guests joined them in the closing dance.

Out-of-town guests came from Tennessee and Virginia.
