Chamber painting

With the furniture on its way out and the chandelier lowered, painting contractor Richard Withrow of W.Q. Waters, measures up the work to be done in the Senate chamber of the State Capitol in Charleston, W.Va. Thursday, Aug 22, 2013. A W.Q. Waters employee since 1960, Withrow knows every square inch of the State Capitol from brush stroke to brush stroke. "From that wall over there to the other wall (pointing from the far wall of the Senate Charmber to the House of Delegates), I've painted in here. I've done a lot of work in this old building and I like it." Withrow said. Scaffolds will be erected Monday and painting the chamber will commence on September 16th.
