Atlantic Broadband launches new sports high-definition TV channels

CUMBERLAND - Fans in the Cumberland area and nearby communities in Pennsylvania and West Virginia will get their holiday football TV feast in High Definition, with the launch this week of the NFL Network and FOX Sports Network (FSN) in HD on Atlantic Broadband¹s cable system.

The HD channels launch comes just in time for the exclusive slate of late-season games on the NFL Network, including the Washington Redskins-Chicago Bears game Thursday night (Dec. 6) and the Pittsburgh Steelers-St. Louis Rams game Dec. 20.

Also now available in HD on FOX Sports Pittsburgh will be college basketball and Pittsburgh Penguins hockey games.

The NFL Network in HD is carried on Atlantic Broadband's Channel 780; FSN in HD, on Channel 782.

Atlantic Broadband¹s HD service now offers 13 channels of HD programming and is the only HD source for local broadcast stations WTTG-FOX 5 (Channel 773), WUSA 9-CBS (Channel 776), WJLA 7-ABC (Channel 777), and WWPB 31-PBS (Channel 771).

Atlantic Broadband¹s Digital Service customers can add HD service to get access to the NFL Network, Fox Sports, local broadcast networks, and even more sports, movies and family fare in HD clarity for just an extra $7.41 per month including the HD set-top rental.

More HD programming and service announcements are coming in the weeks and months ahead.
