The Senate Appropriations Committee’s Omnibus Appropriations Act, which passed Tuesday, includes $1.6 million for the operation and maintenance of Jennings Randolph Lake in Garrett County. The bill now heads to the president to be signed into law. U.S. Sen. Barbara Mikulski announced the funding along with $75 million in this year’s spending bill for the Appalachian Regional Commission. The ARC is a federal-state partnership that works with the people of Appalachia to create opportunities for self-sustaining economic development and improved quality of life.
