LAVALE — Tammy Miller of Abilities Network received the Direct Support Service Award Community during the annual Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS) conference in Ocean City.
Miller, an employment associate, was recognized for commitment to her work in the community and the organization.
Abilities Network is a non-profit organization that provides individualized services to children and adults with disabilities throughout Maryland.
This is the second straight year one of its employees received the service award, Shelli Symons having previously won it.
The network also recognized Roger Mullenax, Cumberland Outdoor Club president, for the club’s continued support of Abilities Network and its services.
The club recently held a fundraiser to benefit the network.
