Riverside’s 4th beats Greg’s, 7-5

POTOMAC PARK — Eli Crow’s two-run double sparked a five-run fourth inning for Riverside Sports in a 7-5 win over Greg’s Auto Body at Memorial Field on Friday.

Riverside was down 4-1 going into the inning. Brendan Dougherty and Carson Imes each threw clean innings to close it out. Imes tripled and Austin Martin added two singles.

Tristan Tressler and Austin Bittner doubled and singled. Caleb Wharton singled twice in the loss.

Greg’s Auto finishes its season at 7-11 and Riverside Sports (8-7-1) plays again today against Team One Auto Mall at Memorial Field at 2:30 p.m.

POTOMAC PARK — Darron Warner finished with four hits as Kiwanis defeated Bill Miller Equipment in five innings Thursday night at Memorial Field.

Warner led Kiwanis’ 13-hit attack with a triple, double and two singles. Jason Copman added three base hits, Dylan Bean had two singles and Conner Kelly doubled.

The Kiwanis put the game away with an 11-run third inning.

Bill Miller was held to three hits, a double by Hunter Sword was the only extra base hit.

Tristan Gibbs was the winning pitcher going three innings and allowing an infield single with three strikeouts.

Kiwanis (4-13) plays the Cumberland Lions today at 10 a.m. in makeup game at Hamilton Field. Bill Miller Equipment dropped to 2-14.
