Casselman sweeps Northside

SALISBURY, Pa. — Alex Beiler and Mile Miller kept the Northside bats calm enough to allow Casselman Valley to win a Rec League doubleheader Saturday in Salisbury, Pa.

Beiler allowed no earned runs and scattered six hits to help Casselman to a 6-3 win in the opener, while Miller allowed four hits and struck out six in a 4-3 win to complete the sweep.

Tyler Mayhugh had two doubles and drove in two runs to lead Casselman in the three-run win. Beiler did his part by singling once and scoring twice.

Northside’s Pat Sines had two singles. Josh Bittinger collected two RBIs with one single.

Beiler added two singles and an RBI in the 4-3 victory, and Justin Donaldson added two doubles.

Sines had two more hits for Northside, a double and a single with an RBI.

Casselman (10-2) plays at Barrelville on Monday. Northside is 9-3.
