Fatula leads Hobo’s to win

— HYNDMAN, Pa. — Winning pitcher Chaz Fatula knocked in the tying run and scored the go-ahead run as Hobo’s Restaurant edged Twigg’s Plumbing & Heating 2-1 in Hot Stove League action Tuesday evening.

Hobo’s (15-7) scored both of its runs in the fourth inning. Trailing 1-0, Elijah Stair hit a one-out single, stole second and scored on Fatula’s triple to tie it. Cody Lohr doubled home Fatula to put Hobo’s ahead.

Fatula was 2 for 3 with a triple and a single and Mike Martz was 2 for 2 with two singles to lead Hobo’s.

Fatula pitched all seven innings, allowed three hits, walked three and struck out eight.

Twigg’s scored its run in the first inning on an RBI single by Ernie Swartz. Johnson had two of Twigg’s three hits, both singles.

Hobo’s will play Keyser Moose on Monday at Holler Field. Twigg’s (7-8) plays Greg’s Auto Body Tuesday at Hamilton Field.

OAKLAND  — Brandon Kline had two hits, three runs batted in and three runs scored for Team One Auto Mall in a win over KMK Insurance/Outdoor Power.

Joe McCluskey added two singles, a double and an RBI to Team One’s 15-hit spread. Chris Tusing also had a double and two singles, but with two runs scored, and Peyton Missimer singled in the final two runs that forced the 10-run rule.

Alec Horner added a pair of singles in the win, while Hayden McLaughlin, Austin Smith and Justin Peck all had singles and one RBI, except for Smith, who had two.

KMK’s Caleb Sivic hit a double and two singles, while Atticus Nicol had two singles.

Team One (13-8) plays Cork’s Cars Tuesday at Broadford Park. KMK plays Keyser Moose tonight at John Kruk Field.

POTOMAC PARK — Hunter Lankey tripled and singled and Tanner Coughenour doubled and singled to help send Bedford Burtnett Agency past Lakeview Auto Parts at Holler Field.

Reece Waugerman, Dylan Arnold and Rodi Merritt added two singles for Burtnett Agency (14-5), which led 5-1 before blowing things open with an eight-run sixth.

Bryce Jones had two hits for Lakeview (16-3).
