Lakeview remains unbeaten

Rotary’s Colbert, Duckworth team for five-inning no-hitter

ACCIDENT — Brooks Carr belted a home run and a single and Lakeview pitchers combined for a four-hitter and 12 strikeouts in a six-inning 12-2 victory over Salisbury Legion in Hot Stove League baseball Monday at Northern High School.

Lakeview (10-0) took control early with a six-run first inning and led 10-1 after three.

Aaron Rodeheaver, Logan Yommer and Hunter Hill combined on the four-hitter. Rodeheaver struck out eight in three innings, Yommer fanned three in two innings and Hill struck out one in one inning.

Tyler McClintock, Clark Morin and Caleb King had two singles for Lakeview. Hunter Wilt doubled and singled and Zach Hotchkiss had a double and an RBI for Salisbury.

Lakeview plays Madigan’s Auto on Thursday at Northern.

Cumberland Lions    0

POTOMAC PARK — Ricky Colbert and Dalton Duckworth teamed for a five-inning no-hitter and 11 strikeouts and only one walk in the Cumberland Rotary’s win over the Cumberland Lions at Memorial Field.

Colbert struck out 11 and Duckworth fanned five.

The Rotary grabbed an early lead with a three-run first inning and finished with 15 hits. Austin Farrell tripled, doubled and singled, Braden Stott tripled and singled twice and Colbert hit three singles to lead the way. Garrett Kesner and Triston Eirich had two singles.

Kesner helped preserve the no-hitter in the last inning. With a man on first, Kesner, the center fielder, fielded a ground ball and threw to second for a force out for the final out.

The Rotary (3-7-1) takes on Riverside Sports on Wednesday, at 8 p.m., at Riverside.

CRESAPTOWN — Chaz Fatula got the complete game win and scored three runs for Hobo’s Restaurant in a rout of KMK Insurance/Outdoor Po-wer at Holler Field.

Fatula allowed three runs on seven hits in seven innings on the mound. He had two hits and two RBIs at the plate. Matt Lewis drove in three runs and Cody Lohr doubled for Hobo’s.

Logan Millburn and Cam Bohrer had two hits for KMK/Outdoor Power.

Hobo’s Restaurant (5-5-2) hosts D&D Homes/G&S Coal Friday at 6 p.m. KMK Insurance/Outdoor Power plays Wednesday at Salisbury at 6 p.m.

POTOMAC PARK — Brock Lohr scored three runs on three hits to lead Cork’s Cars in a 12-6 victory over KMK Insurance/Outdoor Power at the Hot Stove Complex Saturday.

Bryson Bittinger relieved starter Zack Tasker in the second to get the win, striking out eight of the 10 hitters he faced. Austin Graham had three singles and an RBI while Bryson Bittinger and Brandon Mersing had two RBIs. Dakota Hinebaugh and Ian DeWitt scored two runs.

Ryan Miller singled twice and Tyler Eirich had an RBI single for KMK/Outdoor Power.

Fort Ashby Lions     5

Cumberland Rotary     4

POTOMAC PARK — Troy Numma and Jack Doepker combined on a four-hitter  to lead the Fort Ashby Lions over Rotary at Hamilton Field on Friday.

Doetker and Blake Watson had two hits to help the Lions come back from a 4-0 deficit. Ricky Colbert hit a double for Rotary.

The Fort Ashby Lions (7-3-1) play the Kiwanis at Memorial Field today at 5:30 p.m.
