Cork’s Cars tops Grantsville

GRANTSVILLE — Bryson Bittinger and Brock Lohr combined on a three-hitter to lead Cork’s Cars past Grantsville 5-3 on Wednesday.

Peyton Kennedy had a single and two RBIs, Austin Graham hit an RBI double and Dakota Hinebaugh added an RBI single to lead the Cork’s offense.

Bittinger struck out eight in six innings. Loar pitched a scoreless seventh.

Diori Pattison singled and scored all three of Grantsville’s runs. Colton Houser had an RBI single.

Cork’s (7-4-1) plays again today, against Taylor Mining, at Broadford Park.

POTOMAC PARK — Colton Dilley singled in the tying run and scored the go-ahead run during a three-run fifth inning that carried Greg’s Auto Body to victory at Memorial Field.

Dilley’s RBI single tied the game 3-3. Later in the inning, Dilley stole third and scored on an overthrow. Austin Bittner tripled and scored on a throwing error for an insurance run.

Brady Norris doubled and singled and Dilley singled twice for Greg’s.

Brad Younker, Caleb Wharton and Bittner teamed on a two-hitter. The game was shortened to 5 1/2 innings by league curfew.

Greg’s Auto (4-6) plays Bill Miller Equipment on Friday at Ellerslie. The Optimist play Twigg’s Plumbing on Tuesday at Hamilton Field.

Keyser Moose    3

KEYSER, W.Va. — Devon Tracey hit a three-run inside-the-park home run and a pair of RBI singles in leading Team One past Keyser Moose at John Kruk Field.

Joe McCloskey had a double and two RBIs, and Patrick Duggan, Hunter Nazelrod and Corey Horner added two singles. Duggan and Nazelrod had two RBIs.

Ryan Roszell and Justin Peck teamed for a five-inning three-hitter.

Jake Poland had two singles for Keyser.

Team One (7-3) hosts Grantsville Friday night at Broadford Park.

OAKLAND — Corey Horner tossed a three-hitter as Team One edged Madigan’s in a pitchers duel at Broadford Park.

Shawn Markwood had a double and an RBI and Devon Tracey also doubled for Team One. Tracey scored a run on a squeeze bunt by Alec Horner.

Brandon Hanline had two singles and an RBI for Madigan’s.

Corey Horner and Madigan’s Zach Hanline both threw complete games. Horner struck out five and Hanline absorbed the loss despite throwing a four-hitter and striking out six.
