ROMNEY, W.Va. — Colten Dorsey struck out nine and Romney Post 91 pounded out 23 hits to defeat Somerset 17-0 in seven innings in American Legion action Wednesday at Hampshire High School.

Dorsey and relievers David Delawder and Josh Bane held Somerset to just four hits and combined for 12 strikeouts.

Romney put a 6-0 game out of reach with an eight-run fifth inning and added three more in the sixth that allowed the game to be called after the top of the seventh due to the mercy rule.
