Dinicola hurls Legion to victory

POTOMAC PARK — Devin Dinicola fired a dominating four-hitter, striking out 15 along the way, to lead the Frostburg Legion to a 5-1 win over the Cumberland Kiwanis in Hot Stove League baseball Monday at Hamilton Field.
Dinicola allowed the Kiwanis just a fourth-inning in going the distance for the win.
Elisha Llewellyn and Matt Brehm had a single and two RBIs each for the Legion, which led 3-0 after three innings.
Justin Copman had an RBI single for the Kiwanis, who play the Cumberland Optimist today at Memorial Field.
Frostburg Legion (2-2) plays the Cumberland Lions on Thursday at Holler Field.

POTOMAC PARK — Keifer Stafford had three hits and knocked in two runs as Cumberland Optimist remained unbeaten with a victory over KMK Insurance/Outdoor Power at Memorial Field.
Stafford ripped a double and two singles to lead an eight-hit attack that carried the Optimist to their fourth straight win. Darion Roddy added two singles and two RBIs, for the Optimist, which snapped a 3-3 tie with a six-run fifth inning.
Caleb Sivic hit two doubles and Tyler Eirich had two singles and two RBIs for KMK/Outdoor Power, which led 3-0 after two innings.
The Optimist will take on the Kiwanis today at 5:30 at Memorial Field.
