Northside defeats Moose in 7th, 4-3

ACCIDENT — Kyle Rosenberger squeezed home Pat Sines in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Northside a 4-3 win over the Cumberland Moose Wednesday at Northern High School, forcing a rubber match in the best-of-three Rec League playoff series.

Game Three is set for Friday, 5:30 p.m., at Femi Field.

Northside went into its final at bats having not scored since the third inning when it put up all three of its runs to that point. Sines was able to reach early in the inning and Mason Dick hit a double to move Sines over to third. Rosenberger laid down the squeeze during the next at bat to plate Sines and finish the night.

Dick had three hits, adding two singles to his double, and he had two RBIs. Rosenberger had a double and catcher Josh Bittinger finished with two singles and an RBI.

Vinny Foreman had a double, single and two RBIs for the Moose, which won the opener 6-3 on Monday evening.
