Powell fires no-hitter at Moose

— POTOMAC PARK — Tyele Powell fired a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 10 along the way, to lead the Cumberland Rotary to a 10-0 victory over the Keyser Moose in  Hot Stove League baseball actino Tuesday evening at Hamilton Field.

Powell, Cadon Winn and Dalton Duckworth had RBI singles for the Rotary, which will play the Cresaptown Eagles on Thursday at Hamilton Field.

Cork’s Cars 11, Chaney-Buskirk 1

POTOMAC PARK — Broc Lohr, Lucas Root and Dakota Hinebaugh had two hits and Bryson Bittinger, Declan Warner and Justin Shaffer had two RBIs as Cork’s Cars sped past Chaney-Buskirk in Hot Stove League baseball Tuesday evening at Holler Field.

Bittinger and Root combined on a one-hitter. Bittinger got the win and struck out eight in three innings. Cork’s Cars led 8-1 after the first inning. The game was shortened to five innings by the 10-run rule.

Nick Corwell had Chaney-Buskirk’s only hit, an infield single.
