Brantner delivers for Taylor Mining

— POTOMAC PARK — Andrew Brantner capped a four-run, seventh-inning rally with an RBI single that plated the winning run and lifted Taylor Mining to a 7-6 win over Hobo’s Restaurant in Hot Stove League baseball at Holler Field.

Justin Lepley had two singles and Robert Foote doubled for Taylor Mining (12-10), which rallied from 4-0 and 6-3 deficits for the win.

Ross Bebout had three singles for Hobo’s.

Taylor Mining plays Frostburg Legion today at Glendening Field at 6 p.m.

OAKLAND — Bryson Bittinger tossed a one-hitter and struck out 10 to lead Cork’s Cars to a 4-1 win over Lakeview Auto Parts at Broadford Park.

Broc Lohr hit two singles, scored two runs and drove in another to lead the Cork’s attack. Lucas Root added an RBI single.

Logan Yommer had Lakeview’s only hit, a fourth-inning single.

Cork’s (19-3-1) plays Cresaptown Eagles/Riverside Sports today at the Hot Stove Complex.

GRANTSVILLE — Colton Houser struck out 10 and pitched a five-hit shutout to lead Grantsville Sons of the American Legion over the Keyser VFW at Grantsville Park.

Noah Werner hit a solo home run in the sixth for Grantsville after singling earlier in the game. Houser and Ian Tice singled in runs.

For Keyser, D. Wilt and L. McKenzie doubled.

Grantsville SAL (17-5) will play Team One Auto Friday at Broadford Park. Keyser VFW will host Madigan’s Auto Thursday.

Cork’s Cars    3

OAKLAND — Kris Tusing fired a two-hitter, struck out nine and received plenty of offensive support as Team One Auto drubbed Cork’s Cars at Broadford Park.

Joe Custer and Hunter Park had two singles and three RBIs and Justin Peck two singles and two RBIs for Team One (15-8). Ryan Roszell added a single and two RBIs, Hayden McLaughlin had one single and an RBI and Brandon Cline scored three times.

Bryson Bittinger doubled and Peyton Kennedy singled to account for the hits for Cork’s.

Team One ends its regular season Friday against Grantsville SAL at Broadford Park at 7 p.m.

ACCIDENT — Brandon Mersing broke a tie game by singling home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning to lift Cork’s Cars past Grantsville SAL at Northern High.

Broc Lohr doubled, singled and drove in two runs and Peyton Kennedy also doubled and singled for Cork’s.

Lohr threw a five-hitter and fanned 10 in a complete-game win.

Caleb Broadwater ripped a tripled and two singles and Noah Werner doubled for Grantsville SAL.
