PSC beats Dundalk in OT

KEYSER, W.Va. — Chelsea Holcomb scored 21 points and Aisha Short had 11 points and 14 rebounds in their collegiate debuts to help lead Potomac State to a 64-60 overtime win over Dundalk Wednesday evening.

Brittany Skyles added 13 points and Tae Payton had eight points, five assists and three steals for the Catamounts.

Holcomb hit six field goals, with five being 3-point goals, and went 4-for-7 from the foul line in leading all scorers. She also had four assists, three rebounds and two steals.

Potomac State held a slim lead throughout most of the game, with the largest being 11 points. The first tie came at 50-50 late in the second half, which ended 56-56.

Dundalk led by a point briefly during overtime, but the Catamounts converted 4-of-6 free throws during the extra period to pull out the win.

Teaira Scott had 15 points for Dundalk.

Potomac State plays again Saturday, against Delaware Tech in the 5 o’clock game at the Frederick Community College Tournament.
