Alco whips Keyser

Campers host Fort Hill today

— KEYSER, W.Va. — Four Campers scored in double figures, top-ranked Allegany had a double-digit lead on Keyser by the end of the first quarter and rolled to a 77-47 win in an Appalachian Mountain Athletic Conference boys basketball game Wednesday night.

Bryce Nightengale and Trenton Eirich had 16 points to lead the Campers (6-1, 3-0 AMAC), who led 40-24 at halftime.

Darick Kerns added 12 points and Darquel Jessie 11. Mario D’Atri dished out 10 assists and Colton Sivic had a team-high 11 rebounds.

Wes Nelson and Malik Harper had eight points for Keyser (3-4, 1-3), which hosts Petersburg tonight.

Allegany hosts a tripleheader with Fort Hill tonight. The freshman kick things off at 4:15, followed by the jayvees at 6 and varsity at 7:30.

The Campers won the jayvee game 47-30. Jason Copman had 18 points, Carson Imes 14 and Sage Dye 10. Isaiah Bartlett had eight for Keyser.

Calvary Christian    37

SALISBURY, Pa. — Nathan Bodes scored 15 points, Diori Pattison hit four three-point shots and had 14 points and Roberto Pattison had 13 points to lead Salisbury past Calvary Christian on Thursday.

Bodes had 10 points in the first quarter to help Salisbury to an early 16-7 lead. The Elks were on top 31-19 at the half and 47-34 heading into the fourth quarter.

Caleb Snyder scored 16 points and Matt Dillow had 15 for Calvary Christian (1-5).

Salisbury also won the jayvee game.

Calvary hosts Shalom tonight. Salisbury entertains Turkeyfoot on Monday.

Union    72

West Virginia Deaf    42

ROMNEY, W.Va. — Travis Murphy scored 14 points and had nine rebounds and five assists to lead Union over West Virginia School for the Deaf.

Tyler Seabolt scored 11 points for the Tigers, while Ryan Uphold scored 10. Union (2-5) took a 30-13 lead at the end of the first quarter and led 48-21 at the half.

For WVSD, Sam Kimble scored the first field goal of the game before Patrick Epperly scored the next 40, hitting 16 field goals — six of which were three-pointers — and converting a pair of free throws.

Union will play at Highland County, Va. today at 7 p.m.

Union won the middle school game.

ALTOONA, Pa. — A trio of Allegany players finished in with at least 10 points and another just missed double digits as Allegany took to the road and beat Altoona White Thursday afternoon.

Sean Rhodes scored a game-high 15 points, Tyrae Barmore added 14, Jaden Jessie had 11 and Logan Milburn nine for Allegany.

Allegany beat Keyser 55-47 on Wednesday evening as the opening part of a tripleheader.

Barmore led the way with 18 points, Jessie put up 13 and Kristian Robinette added eight.

For Keyser, S. Coleman scored 11 and M. Liller and C. White had 10 for Keyser.

Allegany hosts Fort Hill today at 4:15 in the first game of a City League tripleheader.

Mountain Ridge    41

KEYSER, W.Va. — Cade Staggers scored 12 points to lead the Keyser freshmen to a win over Mountain Ridge Thursday evening.

Camden White and Matthew Liller added six points for Keyser. Kaden McElhenny scored 19 for Mountain  Ridge and Bryce Miller had nine.

Mountain Ridge hosts Southern today at 5 p.m. in the first game of a tripleheader.

Keyser (7-1) hosts Fort Hill on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m., as part of a freshman-jayvee-varsity tripleheader.
