Jackson leads FSU to easy win

Scores 33 as Bobcats rout Altoona 89-53

— FROSTBURG — Christian Jackson scored 33 points to lead Frostburg State in an 89-53 clobbering of Penn State Altoona at Bobcat Arena Saturday afternoon.

The Bobcats set the tone with a 9-0 start. Jackson scored 22 of his game-high 33 points in the first half including a three that made it 39-10 with 5:24 remaining. They took a 44-16 lead into halftime.

Frostburg State led by as many as 43 in the second half. The Lions were overwhelmed on the offensive end, surrendering 18 turnovers and shooting just 31 percent from the field.

Jordan Wells was the lone double-digit scorer for Penn State Altoona with 17.

DeSean Antoine added 22 points for the Bobcats.

Frostburg State (4-7) will play Manhattanville in the Randolph-Macon Coaches Classic on December 29.
