WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. — Potomac State won its second game of the season in impressive fashion, 58-28, at CCAC-South Wednesday.
The Catamounts scored all they would need with 33 in the first half to take a 17-point lead into the break.
They continued to dominate on the defensive end with a 25-12 second half.
Ashley Albright had 12 for CCAC-South.
Morgan Wright led Potomac State with 15 and 11 rebounds. Rachel Waiboga pulled down 15 rebounds to go with seven points. Jenna McAtee added nine points and six assists.
Potomac State (2-11) plays at Butler County Community College Saturday at noon.
York 56, FSU 40
FROSTBURG — Capital Athletic Conference leader York University took advantage of Frostburg State’s cold shooting to defeat the Bobcats Wednesday evening at Bobcat Arena.
FSU was held to 22 percent in field goal shooting.
York (13-3, 4-1 CAC) traveled to its first away contest after a seven-game homestand and came away with a win to remain tied for first in the CAC.
The Spartans held the lead for the length of the game.
Elaina Hummel led the Bobcats with nine points while contributing four defensive rebounds, a steal and an assist.
Senior forward Brynn Arnone led the Bobcats in rebounding with seven, scored seven points and had a block. Freshman forward Deara Parker grabbed five of FSU’s 12 offensive boards and posted seven points, seven rebounds and a 5-for-7 performance from the stripe.
Frostburg (5-10, 1-4 CAC) visits Marymount Saturday beginning at 2 p.m.
