FROSTBURG — Mountain Ridge Mountain Ridge rolled Northern, 62-36, in their regular season finale at Mountain Ridge Friday night.
The Miners had 10 players score. Kevin Gamble led with 11. Rashawn Johnson, Logan Cheshire and Steven Glassbrenner each added eight.
The game was in-hand by the third quarter after Mountain Ridge doubled the Huskies, 28-14 in the first half.
It extended the lead to 25 after three.
The Rams had 10 players score, but none in double-figures. Jeremy Bender had nine points.
The Miners’ jayvees finish the season 17-3 with a 65-31 victory. Dylan Williams led with 17 points and Dylan Shimko had 16. Kyle Klotz scored 20 for the Huskies.
Mountain Ridge finishes the regular season 11-10 and 9-6 in AMAC.
Northern (2-18, 0-14 in AMAC) will finish its season at Hancock, Monday, at 7:30.
WILLOW HILL, Pa. — Tim Leydig scored 26 and Chad Deneen put in 21 to lead Hyndman, 86-72 at Fannett-Metal Friday night.
Brad Torbet added 18 for the Hornets in a high-scoring affair that saw them down four after one. A 27-16 second quarter gave them the halftime lead.
The Hornets put together a 25-14 third quarter to allow them to cruise in the fourth.
Walker Bannister and Jordan Hurrell led Fannett-Metal with 16 each.
Hyndman (16-6) hosts Fannett-Metal in the first round of the District V playoffs Thursday at 7:30.
CRESAPTOWN — Ben Cosner scored 17 points and Chris Harrell added 16 for Heritage during a Mason-Dixon Conference victory over Calvary Thursday evening.
Tyler Michael scored a game-high 22 points, while Justin Swogger had 10 for the Eagles (9-13, 5-8).
Heritage was in front for most of the night, carrying a 14-12 lead after one, leading 26-22 at halftime and 37-33 after three.
The Eagles played Friday at Cumberland Valley.
PETERSBURG, W.Va. — Travis Clower scored 28 points to lead Hampshire in a 69-53 win at Petersburg Thursday.
Clower scored 19 of his 28 in the first half, leading the Trojans to a 34-24 halftime advantage after leading by one point at the end of the first.
Petersburg (9-10) failed to make a run in the second half. Brian George had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Grant Shanholtz and Trevor Harman each had 10 in the loss.
Dane Heavener added 15 for Hampshire (12-8) who plays at Bishop Walsh today at 7:30.
Ryan Van Meter scored 24 points to lead Petersburg to a 55-50 win in the jayvee game. Jordan Grapes led the Trojans with 16.
Petersburg hosts Hampshire again Thursday at 7:30.
