BUTLER, Pa. — Marquise Green led a balanced attack with 16 points and Garrett College hit 10 three-point goals in an 87-63 victory over Butler County in junior college men’s basketball Monday night.
Antonio Butler added 14 points, YanNick Zanfack and Din Moore had 13 and Matt Gibson 10 for the Lakers (8-7), who swept the season series.
Green also grabbed a team-high nine rebounds and Moore dished out five assists.
Garrett led 46-35 at halftime and turned it into a rout by outscoring Butler 41-28 in the second half.
“Butler is a three-point shooting team and we played really good defense outside, against those three-point shooters,’’ said Garrett coach Dennis Gibson. “It was a good win and we bounced back well after a tough one-point loss.”
Garrett made only one three-pointer in Saturday’s home loss to Dundalk. Zanfack and Moore had three each against Butler, Gibson and D.J. Ritchie had two.
Vinnie Schmidt led Butler with 18 points.
Garrett will host Essex on Wednesday.
