New leadership

Sara-Beth James, director of Institutional Research for Allegany College of Maryland, has been named chairwoman of the Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Allegany! Committee, replacing Stuart Czapski, right, assistant vice president, business banking, M&T Bank, who has served as chairman for four of the last six years. James, a member of the Leadership Allegany! Class of 2007, graduated from Frostburg State University with a bachelor of science degree and received her master’s degree from the University of Delaware. Employed by ACM for two years, she previously worked for The Local Management Board. She serves on the board of directors for Friends Aware Inc. and the Family Crisis Resource Center Inc. and serves on numerous committees at the college. She also teaches group fitness at the Body Factory. Leadership Allegany! is currently recruiting applicants for the Class of 2010. Applications are available on-line at www.alleganycountychamber.com or at the Chamber office. For more information, call (301) 722-2820.
