PharmaCare of Frostburg introduces wellness program

WellCare fits for businesses, organizations, individuals

FROSTBURG — PharmaCare of Frostburg describes wellness as a state of mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual balance and not just the absence of disease.

To promote wellness in Frostburg, PharmaCare of Frostburg is introducing WellCare — Wellness at Any Age. This wellness program can be tailored to fit any business, organization or individual. With increasing evidence to support health promotion programs in the workplace, more companies than ever are implementing health and wellness strategies to reduce injuries, health care costs and long term disability. Research has shown that wellness programs positively impact employee satisfaction with decreased absenteeism, increased connection to company values, reduced turnover and increased job satisfaction.

Lisa Bohrer is the director of wellness at PharmaCare and the creator of WellCare. She has been employed by PharmaCare for 17 years. Bohrer is an American Nurses Credentialing Center certified gerontological nurse. She is also trained in the Kailo wellness philosophy and is a certified fitness instructor through the American Fitness Professional Association.
