Better Business Bureau issues caution about Data Entry Pro

Be wary of firms promising wealth

CUMBERLAND — Better Business Bureau Greater Maryland is cautioning consumers about Data Entry Pro. The bureau advises anyone who might be tempted to work from home to be wary about advertisements from companies that claim they can make you rich.

According to www.bbb.org, Data Entry Pro has accumulated 4,000 inquiries within the last year. In August, the Federal Trade Commission released a statement that the brothers behind Data Entry Pro, Eric G. Louise and Calvin G. Louise, were banned from further deceptive advertising tactics in conjunction with work-at-home businesses.

The FTC reported a civil complaint against the brothers, who were conducting business through a number of Web sites including Fastcashathome.com, Fastcashathome.homestead.com, Hometypers.com, Moneymakingsecret.homestead.com, Realcashprograms.com and Dataentrypro.com.

Data Entry Pro is based out of Westminster, Calif., and holds an unsatisfactory standing with bureau. The bureau has received inquiries from Marylanders about another work-at-home opportunity using the name American Publications. The ads report the company to be based in Connecticut and the bureau’s Reliability Report shows an unsatisfactory record and indicate the operation is a scam.
