  • Parkland defeats ACM
    Parkland (Ill.) College’s Michael Bradburn and Kevin Crane hit homers on back to back pitches in the first inning Monday, and the Cobras cruised to a 14-9 victory over Allegany Community College here at the NJCAA Division II World Series.

  • Trojans play tonight
    The Allegany College Trojans will play Parkland, Ill., today, at 8 p.m., in the second round of the NJCAA Division II College World Series.

  • Curtis hit lifts ACM over Kellogg in 12th
    Freshman shortstop Matt Curtis, batting in the ninth spot in the order, delivered the biggest hit of his college career on Saturday, lining a two-out, bases-loaded, game-winning single in the bottom of the 12th inning to give Allegany College of Maryland a 4-3 win over Kellogg (Mich.) Community College in the opening round of the NJCAA Division II World Series.

  • PSC stopped
    The Spartanburg Methodist College Pioneers clinched the Eastern District title on Sunday with a 12-1 win over Potomac State and advance to the NJCAA Division I World Series in Grand Junction, Colo., this weekend.
    The Pioneers (54-8) will face San Jacinto College at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in its first appearance in the NJCAA Division I World Series since 2007. The Pioneers finished No. 3 in country in that Series.

  • Potomac State stays alive
    The Potomac State Catamounts played their way into the NJCAA Division I Eastern District finals by beating USC-Sumter 4-0 Saturday, but still face an uphill battle when they face Spartanburg Methodist today with a JUCO World Series trip waiting in the wings.

  • Trojans celebrate
    The Allegany College of Maryland Trojans will be carrying some hot bats to Enid, Okla., for the NJCAA Division II World Series after pounding 39 hits in a 14-3 and 16-11 sweep over Burlington College of Pemberton, N.J., for the Northeast District championship on Friday afternoon at The Rock.

  • ACM hosts Burlington today
    The NJCAA College World Series in Enid, Oklahoma is the next stop on Allegany College of Maryland’s season itinerary, but the national-ranked Trojans must first take advantage of The Rock’s comfortable surroundings to beat Burlington, N.J., in the NJCAA Division II Northeast District Tournament beginning today at noon.

  • PSC plays Spartanburg Methodist today at noon
    With their eighth region championship in 10 years on the mantle, the Potomac State College Catamounts have their fourth NJCAA Division I World Series in sight as they open in the Eastern District Tournament today at noon against Spartanburg (S.C.) Methodist at Adelphi University.

  • ACM hosts Burlington
    The Allegany College of Maryland Trojans, ranked No. 8 in the NJCAA Division II national baseball poll, will play host to Burlington, N.J., in the best-of-three Northeast District Tournament Friday at The Rock.
