Griffin, Healey power Potomac State's sweep

DARLINGTON, S.C. - Kevin Griffin had three hits and Jacke Healey hit his third home run in two days as Potomac State swept a three-game series from Florence Darlington Tech with a 7-3 win on Sunday.

Griffin led a 13-hit attack by going 3-for-5 with a double and two singles. Kyle Orensky hit a double and a single and Justin Grantham stroked two singles for the Catamounts (3-3).

Healey, who was 7-for-8 with two homers and eight RBIs in Saturday's two wins, hit a two-run homer in the seventh.

Tied 2-2 after three innings, Potomac State grabbed the lead wit ha run in the fourth, and tacked on three more in the fifth for a 5-2 lead. Darlington got a run in the sixth before Healey answered with his two-run shot in the seventh.

Potomac State is scheduled to make its home debut Friday in a 2 p.m. game against Garrett.
