CUMBERLAND - Ty Holden went deep in both games as Montgomery-Germantown swept Allegany College of Maryland despite being outhit by in each contest.
Germantown scored twice in the top of the seventh inning to break a 4-4 tie and win the first game 6-4. The Gryphons scored the final three runs to win 5-4 in the second contest.
In the opener, Lee Bainbridge gave the Trojans an early lead by hitting a two-run home run in the bottom of the first. Cody Young led the Trojans with three hits, and Bainbridge and Jerry Lloyd had two.
Holden hit a solo shot in the sixth as one of four Germantown hits.
Allegany allowed two unearned runs on four defensive errors.
Holden got started early in the second game, connecting on a two-run homer in the first inning. Eric Berringer added a solo blast in the fifth. Shane Edinbauch had three hits and earned the save.
Lloyd and Drew Sutmiller hit solo home runs for Allegany. Young and A.J. Czap finished with two hits for the Trojans.
Allegany (16-7, 7-2 Maryland JUCO) will play a single game at Montgomery-Rockville on Thursday at 3 p.m.
