Allegany rips Rockville, 12-1

ROCKVILLE - Tyler Ramaley pitched eight innings while allowing no earned runs, one walk and six hits as Allegany easily handled Montgomery-Rockville 12-1 Wednesday.

Ramaley stuck out five in the complete game effort and improved his record to 3-1 this season. Matt Gruber had four hits and two runs batted in for the Trojans, and Jerry Lloyd finished with three hits and batted in two. Cody Young compiled three hits and a RBI, and catcher Chad McCoy finished with three RBIs.

Ryan MacNamara and Lee Bainbridge hit RBI doubles, and Drew Suttmiller had a double, a single and an RBI.

Rockville's Greg Lezor had three of the Knights' six hits and scored their only run.

Allegany fell behind 1-0 after the first inning, tied it in the second and took the lead with a pair of runs in the third. The Trojans made it certain with six runs in the top of the eighth. The game was stopped after eight innings because of the 10-run rule.

ACM (21-13 overall) is now 12-5 in the Maryland JUCO. It will play a single game at home with CCAC South, at 2 p.m., on Friday.
