Frostburg State wins doubleheader with Pitt-Greensburg

Freddy Foshay and Trevor Conner turned in solid pitching performances and received plenty of support from the offense as Frostburg swept Pitt-Greensburg.

The Bobcats (17-12, 13-4) scored early and often in the first game as they posted five runs in the second inning and topped it with six runs in the fourth. Joe Garrity was 3-for-4 to lead the offense.

Foshay took a one-hitter into the sixth inning and finished with a six-hitter with five strikeouts.

In the second game, Conner kept the Pitt-Greensburg (14-15, 9-8) hitters guessing, scattering four hits over the first six innings. He finished with a six-hitter and three strikeouts.

Andrew Speights and Brett Mitchell homered, Andrew Lydon went 3-for-5 and Mitchell was 2-for-3.
