KEYSER, W.Va. - Brock Stevens hit a two-run triple in the bottom of the seventh inning to send Potomac State past Harford Community College, 7-5, Sunday at Golden Park.
With the score tied 5-5, Jacke Healey led off the seventh and was hit with a pitch and, after a fly out, Chris Szafran singled to put runners at first and second. One out later Stevens ripped a ball just inside the first-base bag that scored Healey and Szafran.
Healey finished 3-for 4 with two singles and a double. Kevin Griffin contributed two doubles, a single and two RBIs. Matt Schrader hit a solo home run.
Freshman Matt Moceri, who worked the final three innings, picked up the win in front of a good crowd on Gold Rush 4.
Steve Alexander had two doubles and an RBI for Harford.
Jonathan Hash started for Potomac State and struck out eight in six innings.
The Catamounts jumped out to a 2-0 lead when Healey and Griffin pulled off a double steal in the second inning. Griffin later scored on an RBI single by Stevens. Griffin doubled home Healey in the third inning to make it 4-0.
Harford battled back with three runs in the fourth, keyed by Alexander's double and a sacrifice fly from Matt Winter.
The game was played in front of 311 fans, second all time to the 426 that attended the first game at Golden Park against Cuyahoga Community College in March of 2002.
Potomac State (31-8) plays a doubleheader at Lackawanna (Pa.) on Tuesday.
