Frostburg State drops Penn State Altoona, 6-3

ALTOONA, Pa. - Brooke Tapman singled and scored the tying run in the sixth inning, and Lindsay Seal and Meghan Dabkowski drove in runs during three-run eighth that lifted Frostburg State over Penn State Altoona in the first game of their Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference doubleheader.
The second game was postponed by rain after 1 1-2 innings.
Down 3-2, Tapman led off the Frostburg sixth with a single and, after stealing second and third, scored on a throwing error to tie the game.
In the eighth, Seal drew a bases-loaded walk to break the tie, and Dabkowski singled home two insurance runs to help seal the victory.
Katelyn Coffey earned her fifth win by tossing 3 2-3 innings of hitless relief. She struck out four.
Dabkowski finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored to lead the Frostburg offense. Lindsey Freitag singled and scored twice.
Callie Lyle went 2-for-2 for Altoona (3-12, 0-3).
The Bobats (7-10, 1-2) host Pitt-Bradford on Saturday at 1 p.m.
