Ullery’s 771/279 week’s top score

Gary Ullery bowled 771/279 in the Satellite League at The Bowler and posted the area’s top score for the week. Dave Yates was next high at that center, rolling 726/277. Two other 279 games were scored at The Bowler during the week: Justin Smith in his 698 set and Travis Walters in his 666 set.
A.J. Bishop was the leading bowler at White Oak Lanes this last week. Bishop rolled a 279 game in his 759 series to get the top spot. Joe Mullenax followed, scoring 719/259.
At Wilson Lanes’ Brett Stenberg bowled 714/255 for that center’s high. Clay Corbin and Rodney Kesner were next high, each rolling 710 sets and 240 plus games.
The week’s leader at Rainbow Lanes was Phil Whetstone, who bowled a 704/258 score. Owner Kevin Mansfield was next, scoring 660/261.
Sherwood Lanes’ high for the week was 654/256, bowled by Ralph Knieriem. Jason Clark was next, rolling 642/245.
Lou Dille, bowling 634/251, at Rainbow Lanes was the area’s top lady bowler for the week. Sally Suter was next at Rainbow, rolling 534/195.
Vicky Anderson scored 610/225 in White Oak’s Women’s Classic League for the ladies’ high at that center. Felicia Deremer was next with another big score, rolling 582/236.
Marolyn Johnson was The Bowler’s top lady, scoring 581/216; followed by Vivian Helsley, who bowled 574/203.
Alice Monahan and Pam Brasky were Sherwood’s leaders, bowling 579/214 and 510/188 respectively.
Wilson Lanes reported Jean Shoemaker’s 574/203 as the high for the ladies, followed by Julie Greene’s 514/179.
Ernie Davis bowled 663/248 for top area senior honors. Ray Foster’s 631/219 at The Bowler was also a big early season score. Pat Logsdon rolled 519/181 for White Oak’s senior high.
Wilson Lanes’ Amanda Greene bowled 644/224 for the area’s youth top score for the week. Larissa Blizzard scored 566/210 at White Oaks. Alex Folmer rolled 563/226 at The Bowler and Cody Morton bowled 557/243 at Rainbow Lanes.
The men’s All-Star Tournament held at Keyser’s Rainbow Lanes last Sunday was a great event and was well received. Lane conditions were a problem for some of the bowlers; overall scoring was fairly high by the standards of past performances. The White Oak All-Stars finished first, bowling a team total of 3,176. Wilson Lanes All-Stars were second with a total pin fall of 3,004. A detailed report will be forthcoming in the Oct. 25 Times/News Sports Magazine.
