LT. COL. BILLY C. MENGES

LAVALE — Lt. Col. Billy C. Menges, of LaVale, passed away Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 pm.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the LaVale United Methodist Church.

Interment will follow at the Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.



WILLIAM R. WHITTEN

CUMBERLAND — William Raymond Whitten, 45, of Cumberland, died on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.



JANET A. THOMAS

FROSTBURG — Janet A. Thomas, 73, of Frostburg, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

There will be no visitation.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Inurnment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown, W.Va.

Sowers Funeral Home, P.A. is in charge of arrangements.



EUGENE E. “PETE” CERVI

MCHENRY — Eugene Eumnio “Pete” Cervi, 71, of McHenry, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009.

Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 26722 Garrett Highway, Accident (McHenry), on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m.

At Mr. Cervi’s request, cremation will follow services.



COREY R. CLITES

HYNDMAN, Pa. — Corey R. Clites, 32, of Hyndman, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, Pa., on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.

A funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery, Hyndman.
