PETERSBURG, W.Va. — George D. "Jokey" Bircher, 79, of Petersburg, died Saturday at the Potomac Valley Hospital, Keyser, W.Va.

Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

OAKLAND — Max Allen Messenger, 77, of Oakland, died Sunday at his home.  

A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Oakland, on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013 at 2 p.m.

Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CUMBERLAND — Frances J. Norris, 74, of Cumberland, died Monday at the Golden Living Center.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 2 p.m.

CUMBERLAND — Paul Leo Burkett, 86, of Cumberland, died Sunday at the Golden Living Center.

A memorial service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., Cresaptown, on Saturday at 3 p.m. Friends will be received one hour prior to services.

DEER PARK — Lucretia Pearl “Perk” Watring, 79, of Deer Park, died Sunday at Garrett County Memorial Hospital.  

Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the Deer Park United Methodist Church on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Friends will be received one hour prior to services.

 

FRANCES HINKLE

SPRINGFIELD, W.Va. — Frances “Jeanette” (Kimble) Hinkle, 82, of Springfield, died Sunday at the Shenandoah Center, Charles Town.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, Inc., Route 28, Fort Ashby, W.Va., on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

CATONSVILLE — Phyllis Nichols Rowe, 92, of Catonsville, died Thursday at Charlestown Retirement Community.

A memorial service will be held in Catonsville at a later date.

FROSTBURG — Phyllis Emily Thomas, 88, of Frostburg, died Sunday at the Frostburg Village Care Center.

A memorial service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 14613 McMullen Highway, Cresaptown, on Thursday at 11 a.m.
