It’s time for us to stand up to this tyranny

It was amazing to watch Texas Sen. Ted Cruz speaking for over 21 hours on the Senate floor in opposition to Obamacare.

Senator Cruz and some of his colleagues support defunding Obamacare.

We keep hearing from the Washington establishment how great Obamacare is for the American people. It is so great for the people that Congress has exempted themselves from it.

If Obamacare is such a good thing, then why do President Obama and Congress want no part of it? If they want to shove it on the people, then they should be applying in it as well.

Nancy Pelosi said, “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it.” Well, now we are starting to find out what is in it, and it’s a disaster.

In a recent article from FoxNews.com, it details the Mangione family in Kentucky. They recently learned their insurance will rise in 2014, from $333 to $965.

Their insurance carrier Humana issued them this statement, “If your policy premiums increased, you should know this isn’t unique to Humana, premium increases generally will occur industry-wide.”

In 2008, Barack Obama said Obamacare would lower premiums by up to $2,500 for a typical family per year.

Yet another statement by Obama that is false. In an article on Forbes.com, Obamacare will increase health spending by $7,450 for a family of four.

Things have gotten so bad for Obama that the unions who praised Obamacare in 2010, now want no part of it. Obama’s buddy Richard Trumka has called for changes to Obamacare.

In fact, Obama has signed 14 laws that change and amend Obamacare. He’ll make special deals for his elitist friends, but the “ordinary” people must learn to accept it. The hope and change Obama talked about in 2008 has turned out to be a nightmare.

It is encouraging to see folks like Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee stand up for liberty against the Washington establishment. The establishment is the problem in Washington.

Politicians such as Barack Obama, Harry Reid, John McCain, Nancy Pelosi, and Jay Rockefeller are the reason the country is in decline. For far too long they have been robbing the people blind, it’s time to put these bums in their place.

Speaking of Jay Rockefeller, he along with Joe Manchin were nowhere to be found during Ted Cruz’s 21-hour debate. If they were serious about getting the country moving back in the right direction they would have been there.

Ronald Reagan once said, “As government expands, liberty contracts.”

That’s what Obamacare is all about, growing the government bigger and bigger, while taking away more of our freedom.

Some people seem willing to accept this tyranny. An ever growing government that eats everything in its path.

Not me. I won’t accept it. I’ll do everything in my power to stop these socialist elitists from destroying the freedoms that our Founding Fathers fought for and passed on to us.

I’m proud to stand with Ted Cruz, and stand up for America.

Not many pieces of legislation to come out of Annapolis can be described as a matter of life or death. But the CPR law signed by Gov. Martin O’Malley is just that.
Known as Brenna’s Law, the legislation requires that all Maryland high schoolers will be required to complete CPR training as part of the graduation requirement.

For the world’s more than 2 billion Christians, Easter is the day that defines their faith.
The exact date of Christ’s resurrection is unknown, and even the precise locations of his crucifixion and burial are uncertain. This hasn’t stopped some people from saying they know the answer to these questions and others from trying to find out for themselves, or simply arguing about it.
