Thanks to those who helped her when she became ill

On Sept. 27, Fort Hill traveled to Pittsburgh to play a football game. Before the game started I became ill and it was apparent to those sitting near me. Within minutes Margaret Wright, Kia Barnes, Krista Stevens and Dale Mease came to my side to assist.

Their employers, Western Maryland Health System and the Allegany County Health Department, should be very proud of them. They are professionals inside the work place and out.

They did not hesitate to jump up and help. Things were quite hectic for a few minutes and my family and friends were very concerned. They got me stable and I was taken to Mercy Hospital.

I don't have enough words to thank those wonderful caring people who were there for me. I have always been proud to be a part of the Fort Hill community but that Friday night in Pittsburgh I now know why.

Our fans, football, team, cheerleaders, coaches, band and administration are always there to lend a helping hand.

I almost forgot Darryl Martin, he came to Mercy Hospital and brought my husband and me back to the game. Thanks Darryl and thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Just know that the Fort Hill fans are the best in town!
