Students from the schools participated in Allegany County's outdoor school at the 4-H Educational Center in Bittinger, Garrett County, in the soil education area.
About 300 students will participate in the camp over three weeks with the program expanding seven weeks to include all elementary schools in Allegany County in the fall.
While at camp, students become more aware of the current environmental conditions and concerns as well as increase their social interaction.
