Hanna, Topper engagement

CUMBERLAND — Ed and Denise Hanna of Cumberland are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Elizabeth Hanna to Seth Martin Topper, son of Fred and Melanie Topper of Hyndman, Pa.

Karen is the granddaughter of Major (USMC Ret.) and Mrs. H.E. VanFossen of Bel Air, and the late Mr. And Mrs. William S. Hanna, Ellicott City. Seth is the grandson of Bill and Mary Cook, Hyndman, and also the late Dr. and Mrs. John Topper, Hyndman.

Karen is a 2000 graduate of Fort Hill High School and a 2004 honors graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pa., with a bachelor of arts degree in advertising and public relations.

She is employed as a project manager with the Media Research Center, Alexandria, Va.

Seth is a 2000 graduate of Hyndman High School and also attended The Pennsylvania State University, majoring in criminal justice. He is employed as a research coordinator with The Corporate Executive Board in Arlington, Va.

A September wedding is planned at the Cumberland Country Club, Cumberland.
