Helmick, Osterbind engagement

CUMBERLAND — Mr. and Mrs. W. Stephen Helmick, of Cumberland, are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Ann, to Brandon Steven Osterbind, of Richmond, Va.
Miss Helmick is the granddaughter of Mrs. Mary Jane Weimer of Cumberland and the late Joseph W. Weimer and Mr. and Mrs. William E. Helmick of LaVale. Mr. Osterbind is the son of Mrs. and Mrs. Albert O. Osterbind Jr. of Richmond.
The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate and valedictorian of Calvary Christian Academy in Cresaptown. She is a 2004 summa cum laude graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va. Miss Helmick received her law degree from Liberty University School of Law in Lynchburg in May 2007. She is currently employed as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney for the Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office of Bedford County, Va.
The groom-to-be is a 2001 graduate of L.C. Byrd High School in Richmond. He is a 2005 graduate of Liberty University in Lynchburg. He will receive his law degree in May 2008 from Liberty University School of Law where he is currently ranked first in his graduating class. Mr. Osterbind has accepted employment as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable William G. Petty of the Virginia Court of Appeals.
A spring 2008 wedding is planned at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumberland. Formal invitations will be sent.
