DeVore, Shipe engagement

FROSTBURG — Mr. and Mrs. David DeVore, Frostburg, are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Shawna Marie DeVore, to Nathan Andrew Shipe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Shipe, Evans, Ga.

Shawna is a 2000 graduate of Beall High School and a 2005 graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a concentration in early childhood education. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in reading. Shawna is employed by the Allegany County Board of Education as a pre-kindergarten teacher at Bel Air Elementary School.

Nathan is a 2002 graduate of Beall High School and a 2005 graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. He obtained a master’s degree in teaching from Frostburg State University in 2007. Nathan is employed by the Allegany County Board of Education as a social studies teacher at Mountain Ridge High School.

The wedding will take place July 5, 2008, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Frostburg. A reception will follow at the Frostburg State University Lane Center.
