Niland, Rex engagement

— LAVALE — Mr. and Mrs. James P. Niland of LaVale are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenny Lee, to Edward Andrew Rex, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Edward Rex of Turnersville, N.J. Jenny is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John O. “Jack” Getty of Lonaconing and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edmund J. Niland of Piedmont, W.Va.
Jenny is a 2002 graduate of Allegany High School. She graduated magna cum laude in 2006 from York College of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. The bride-to-be is employed as a registered nurse by the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in the Pediatric Intermediate Care Unit. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in nursing at Penn State, Hershey Campus, Hershey, Pa.
Ed is a 2002 graduate of Washington Township High School. He graduated in 2006 from York College of Pennsylvania, with a bachelor of science degree in behavioral science. The groom-to-be is a program manager for Educational Data Systems Inc., in York, Pa.
A July wedding at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Hershey is planned. A reception will follow at the Spring Garden Reception Center.
