Evans, Dougherty engagement

LAVALE — Dottie Evans of LaVale and Joan Evans of Cresaptown and the late Charles “Allen” Evans, proudly announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Angela Beth Evans, to Sgt. John Joseph Dougherty, of Killeen, Texas.

Miss Evans is a 1995 graduate of Frankfort High School and completed the credit course for phlebotomy at Allegany College of Maryland. Angie is employed by the Western Maryland Health System as a phlebotomist, primarily at the Memorial Campus.

Sgt. Dougherty is the son of Mary Dougherty of Cumberland and Susan Dougherty, Ridgeley, W.Va., and the late Vincent Dougherty. He is a 1997 graduate of Allegany High School. John is currently serving in South Baghdad, Iraq, with the United States Army, Alpha Company, 1-22, 4th Infantry Division, stationed out of Fort Hood in Killeen.

The couple will marry in the spring of 2009 upon completion of John’s deployment to the Middle East. They will then reside in Killeen.
