Booth, Ward vows set

MOUNT SAVAGE — Mr. and Mrs. Donald Booth Jr. of Mount Savage are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Amber Renee Booth, to Eric Paul Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Ward, formerly of Hyndman, Pa.

Miss Booth is the granddaughter of Donald Booth Sr. of Mount Savage and the late Dorothy Booth. She also is the granddaughter of Mrs. Emma Jean Malloy, formerly of Mount Savage, and the late Butler Malloy. Mr. Ward is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Ward of Hyndman, Pa., and the late Guy Ward. He also is the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Witt of Hyndman and the late Glenn Thompson.

The bride-to-be is a 2000 graduate of Mount Savage School. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Frostburg State University in 2003 and graduated magna cum laude in 2006 with a master of science degree in counseling psychology from Frostburg State University. Amber is currently employed as a psychology associate for the Maryland Division of Corrections.

Eric is a 2000 graduate of Hyndman High School. He received his associate’s degree in criminal justice from Allegany College in 2002 and then pursued his bachelor’s degree at Frostburg State University, double majoring in political science and justice studies. He was awarded a bachelor’s of science degree in 2004. Eric is currently employed as a police officer with the Howard County Police Department.

A Sept. 27, 2008, wedding will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mount Savage. A reception will follow at the Ali Ghan Shrine Club in Cumberland.
