Sandman, Carder engagement

CUMBERLAND — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Carder Sr. of Cumberland would like to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their son, Richard Carder Jr., to Jamie Sandman, daughter of William Sandman and Nancy Sandman and step-daughter of Benjamin Bachman of Cape May, N.J.

Richard is a 1996 graduate of Fort Hill High School. He received his associate’s degree from Allegany College of Maryland and bachelor’s degree from the University of Baltimore in 2004. Richard is currently employed as a finical advisor at T.R. Price in Owings Mill.

Jamie is a 1998 graduate of Lower Cape May Regional. She received her bachelor of science degree in social work and sociology at Frostburg State University in 2003. Jamie is currently employed as a service associate at Unum in Columbia.

The couple will exchange their vows along the beach in North Cape May on Oct. 4, 2008.
