Lauren K. Knippenberg, Stephan Blatney to wed

— CUMBERLAND — Craig and Erin Knippenberg and Richard and Amy Biancone, both of Cumberland, proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Karissa Knippenberg, to Stephan Frank Blatney, son of Frank and Diane Blatney of Greensburg, Pa.

Lauren is the granddaughter of Denny and Pat Knippenberg and James and Rosemary Sheehe and the great-granddaughter of Harry and Lillian Blacklin and Cleo Knippenberg, all of Cumberland.

Stephan is the grandson of Anne Blatney of Greensburg.

The couple met at their alma mater, California University of Pennsylvania.

The future bride received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and recently earned her master’s degree in elementary education. Lauren is employed by the Hempfield Area School District.

Her fiance earned a bachelor of arts degree in public relations and is employed by Overhead Door Company of Greater Pittsburgh.

The couple is planning a June 2013 wedding in Cumberland. Formal invitations will be sent.

 The couple will reside in Greensburg.
