Kari Cunningham will become July bride of Benjamin Hendershot

— CUMBERLAND — Mr. and Mrs. James and Melinda Cunningham of Cumberland are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kari L. Cunningham, to Benjamin W. Hendershot, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold “Butch” and Jennifer Hendershot also of Cumberland.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Joy Cunningham and the late Herman Cunningham and Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Doris Hartman. She is a 2005 graduate of Allegany High School and a 2009 graduate of Towson University, with a bachelor’s degree in speech-language pathology and audiology. She is also a 2011 graduate of Towson University with a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Kari is currently employed by the Allegany County Board of Education as a speech-language pathologist.

Her fiance is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William and Jane Bugg, Silver Spring, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Jeannette Hendershot. Benjamin is a 2003 graduate of Bishop Walsh High School and a 2007 graduate of Frostburg State University, with a bachelor’s degree in social work. He is also a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University with a master’s degree in social work. Benjamin is currently employed at the Allegany County Health Department as a social worker.

A July wedding is planned.
