HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - BlueHighways TV has arrived for cable television viewers in the Cumberland area, and the network that explores the people, stories, traditions and music of America is joining with local cable provider Atlantic Broadband to celebrate as sponsors of the DelFest 2008 family-friendly roots music festival, May 23-25 at the Allegany County Fairgrounds in Cumberland.
BlueHighways TV is now available on Atlantic Broadband's Digital Service tier, on Channel 220.
As Gold Sponsors of DelFest 2008, BlueHighways TV and Atlantic Broadband will contribute on-air festival commercials leading up to the event, have a booth and giveaways at the festival, and be featured in program ads and various event-related marketing materials. Atlantic Broadband will offer customers special discounted tickets for the festival, and will display its new mobile production truck at the event.
BlueHighways TV will also film part of the DelFest 2008 for an upcoming episode of American Journeys, which it plans to premiere in Cumberland at a VIP screening event.
DelFest 2008 is hosted by bluegrass greats The Del McCoury Band, and features an all-star roster of Bluegrass, Americana and Country artists, including BlueHighways TV's own Ronnie Reno and the Reno Tradition.
The three-day line up includes: Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, Sam Bush, David Grisman, David Bromberg, Chris Thile, Abigail Washburn Sparrow Quartet featuring Bela Fleck, and many more (www.delfest.com).
