PINTO — The 56th annual Fall Musicale will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Pinto Mennonite Church, with the theme We Are All God’s Family and theme song “The Family of God.”
The service will feature the vocal and instrumental music of the Mullet Family from Broadway, Va. The family consists of Robert and Margaret Mullet and their six sons, twins Shandon and Shane, 14; Zachary, 12; Isaac, 11; Jeron, 8; and Jonathan, 6. They play a variety of instruments to accompany their singing. Some songs are sung a capella, without accompaniment.
After hearing the Mullets perform, Pastor Merle Christner said, “The family’s close harmony and musical talent produces music that will bless your hearts as they sing praises to the Lord.”
Another musical family, The Browns — Denny, Carla and son Ryan — will perform. The Pinto Chorus, under the direction of Doris Ours, accompanied by Sandra Grandstaff, will present selected songs. Christner will deliver a meditation about the family, through the eyes of Jacob.
The church is located three-tenths of a mile off U.S. Route 220 on the Pinto Road.
For more information, call the church at (301) 729-2714 or the pastor at (301) 338-1191.
